Setting Up Notifications
LMKwhen delivers alerts via three channels: SMS, email, and Slack. Configure your preferences in Delivery Channels.
SMS
- Click Add phone number
- Enter your number including area code
- Verify with the code sent to your phone
- SMS alerts are now active for your account
SMS opt-out and re-enable
If you reply STOP to any LMKwhen SMS, your number is opted out and alerts stop immediately. To re-enable:
- Go to Delivery Channels
- Find the opted-out number — it shows an amber warning
- Click Re-enable SMS alerts and confirm
You can also re-enable by texting START to the same number.
SMS quota
Your plan includes a monthly SMS limit. You can see your current usage in Delivery Channels. The quota resets on the first of each month. If you hit your limit before month end, upgrade in Settings → Billing.
Email
Email notifications use your account email address automatically. No setup required. You can disable email notifications per alert rule if you prefer SMS or Slack only.
Slack
- Go to Delivery Channels
- Click Connect Slack
- Authorize LMKwhen in your Slack workspace
- Choose which channel receives alert notifications
- Save
Each organization can connect one Slack workspace. Alert messages include the location name, alert type, and a link to view details.
Routing alerts to specific channels
Once your channels are set up, you can control which alerts reach which channels:
- Priority filter — channels can opt to receive only High-priority alerts
- Tag subscription — channels can subscribe to specific tags (Standard plan or higher)
